Synthetic Dreadlock Care Guide

❤ Braid me in, secure with an elastic, and wear for 1-2 months.

❤ Do not wear for longer than 3 months!

❤ Red tension bumps, and some itching and discomfort in the first week is totally normal and will go away.

❤ You need to wash your hair only every 1-2 weeks. When you do this use a residue free shampoo and focus on your scalp, the dreadlocks themselves do not need to be washed and will get very heavy if wet.

❤ In between washes you can wipe down your scalp with witch hazel or distilled water and essential oils.

❤ If your scalp is dry or itchy you can use a small amount of conditioning oil.

❤ Use a satin nightcap or pillowcase to prevent frizz.

❤ To remove carefully break the elastic with a stitch ripper and un-braid.

❤ You lose 80 - 100 hairs every day so don't worry when you take your dreadlocks out and it looks like you lost a lot of hair. It is just the normal amount which has not been able to shed.

❤ These dreadlocks are reusable and can be worn over and over again! Just remember to wait a week or two between installs to let your scalp rest.

❤ In between installs you can wash your dreadlocks either by hand with residue free shampoo or in the washing machine. Put them in a laundry bag and wash at 30 degrees C. Don't use a fabric softener!

❤ Do not tumble dry, just lay them out flat.
